This is the new home for Help4Heroes.org, we are a non-profit agency dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness, and giving back to all of the brave men and women who were willing to give all. 26% of homeless people are Veterans. That number is staggering. That is the reason we formed Help 4 Heroes, to reduce that number to zero. We need help from you to make it happen. Union, SC is a small rural community with less than 30,000 residents within the county lines. Over the last few years Fentanyl has taken someone from everyone. The addicts who are still among the living have still lost their lives in a sense, having given up everything in pursuit of their next dose, never knowing if it will be their last.
Opiate addicts are typically prescribed Suboxone or Subutex to combat their cravings and withdrawal symptoms, or they can go to a clinic each day to get their dose of methadone. The problem with Fentanyl is taking Suboxone or Subutex actually makes their symptoms much worse. It is called Precipital Withdrawal and to call it unbearable is an understatement. But the residents of Union must travel 30 miles to reach one of the clinics in surrounding counties, and these clinics have very limited hours of operation, which makes getting effective treatment for their addiction almost impossible.
We want to start a daily ride service roundtrip to one of the clinics in neighboring counties. It will be called the Clinic Connection and will pick up riders at a location and time which will be determined based on the needs of the community. Based on the amount of people who join, more locations and times will be added. Our focus is getting treatment to those who want it before it is too late. Where there is life there is still hope.

I have spent around a years using a bunch of so-called freebie apps and sites. What you see below are the finalists, the ones that always came through and never disappointed. I did not receive any kind of compensation for my opinion, I did not inform any of the platforms that I used that there would be an article or review later on. I signed up as a regular user and let the chips fall as they may. I am still a user of all of these sites, so to keeps this whole project honest, I will not even be including any referral links. I am recommending the use of all of these based on experience. The following list is in no particular order, each one performed exactly as promised without exception.
#1 Amazon Shopper Panel– Starting off with an app that is not considered a freebie app, but it meets my criteria. Each month you can earn at least $10 in Amazon credit for doing a very simple task: scanning ten (10) receipts, but you can earn more. There’s a $2 bonus for turning on ads, and surveys which are usually between 2 and 5 questions, and pay $0.50 and $1.00. There are usually two or more surveys each month. All of these options take up little to zero time to complete and the compensation is more than adequate.
Your reward is delivered on the first day of then next month like clockwork. You have two options to choose from: either deposit it to your Amazon balance or give to charity. I think the donate to charity option is great (hint) (hint). Just kidding! Choose what is best for you. If you choose your Amazon account, you will be able to go get your some sweet deals that day! Enjoy! If you don’t have an Amazon account, I highly recommend it, and if you have Amazon and use it, I highly recommend Prime, if only for Prime Video. “The Boys” is the best show ever! And while you are there there’s all kinds of free trials on their services- Prime Music, Audible, Photos, etc. Check it out!
#2 Pinch Me– Pinch me is a great platform for getting free samples. You usually get 1-3 sample offers each month, if it is something you might like, apply for it, if chosen you will get your samples in the mail 4-6 weeks later. They request that you use the product(s) and then leave a review about your experience. It’s really that simple. I received some pretty useful samples from Pinch Me- some Gold Bond lotion, Crest toothpaste, cat food, etc. I didn’t care for the taste of the cat food at all, but Beans, my cat, loved it every time they sent it. I usually got a box every 4 weeks, I have been using it for a little over a year and my little boxes keep coming.

#3 Influenster– this program is very similar to Pinch Me. I am not going to write much about it since it is almost identical to #2. There are some sleight differences you will notice but nothing that would influence me to decide to not recommend it. These two really make your mailbox happy!
#4 Freebie Alerts & Free Stuff Alerts are apps, available in the Google Play & Apple stores for free, and both alert you of free stuff that has been posted in your area. You can then contact the poster and arrange pick-up. Viola” Free Stuff! Isn’t that easy? I have used both for about a year and although I live in a rural area, I have gotten a surprising number of alerts for free stuff, some of it useful stuff, that I was able to go pick up. I also tried Lista but there wasn’t much in my area.
#5 Receipt Apps– I made this a group rather than visit each app individually. They mostly have thesame premise- scan your receipts, get a reward. Fetch Rewards and Ibotta reward you more for buying specific retailers. If you follow their offers and buy those items, you can earn some real cash back. Ibotta also offers a $10 sign up bonus after your first purchase. I have included The Well Kept Wallet’s referral link. Coin Out pays you a small amount per receipt, the amount on the receipt has nothing to doo with the reward. They also have an offer wall where you can sign up for various apps and earn some decent money. Another feature I liked was they show you your earnings in dollar amounts instead of points like many of the others. That way you know exactly where you stand with your earnings. Receipt Hog paid the least of all the apps I tried, but it was still worth scanning my receipts on it while I was scanning them with the other apps. If I was only using this app alone, I probably wouldn’t have scanned many receipts before quitting. So maximize your earning and use several of these apps together! I didn’t include Amazon Shopper Panel with these because the reward structure is so different.

#6 No Proof Class Actions are class action lawsuits that anyone can sign up for without subnitting proof of purchase. At anytime there can be a few dozen settlements available that range from a few bucks to a few hundred, just waiting for you to come along and claim them. Once you submit your claim, expect it to take 6 months to a year, or longer to get payment, but it is worth it. I was made aware of a class action that I qualify for that has an expected six figure payout! Who knows what you may be able to claim and collect. Try Top Class Actions, ClassActions.Org, & Open Class Actions: each will have cases that the others do not. It usually takes about two minutes to join a settlement. It is a good way to use some spare time.

The number of overdose deaths have been on ths rise for several years now due to the increased availability of fentanyl. Fentanyl is also being used to lace other drugs as well, so often times users don’t even know they are taking it. Union, SC has no clinic where addicts can receive methadone to combat the detox from fentanyl and other opioids. Methadone is their only treatment option for fentanyl addiction. Drugs like Suboxone and Subutex will cause precipitable withdrawals, which can be agonizing.
In the absence of opening a clinic in Union, the reasonable option is to have a bus or large van that can shuttle addicts to and from the closest clinic which is 30 miles away. Almost all of the addicts I have spoken to want to quit, but lack of transportation is preventing them. Addicts often times don’t have vehicles or license. Help4Heroes has decided to try to do something about this by raising money to purchase a van or bus and hire a driver.
That is why your donations are so important to our mission. We cannot do anything without sponsors. We only need to raise a few hundred dollars to cover some organizational fees to obtain 501 (c)(3) status which will open the door to government grants and corporate sponsors. And once we obtain tax exempt status any donations made since or incorporation will retroactively become tax exempt too.
